Don’t miss the London debut of Texas style, blistering guitar led blues from Big Dez (aka guitarist Phil Fernandez) whose new album "Night After Night" has been recorded in Austin Texas.

Big Dez started in 1996 in Paris as a 5 piece band with Phil Fernandez (guitar & vocal), Bala Pradal (organ & piano), Marco Schaeller (harmonica), Lamine Guerfi (bass), Stephane Miñana (drums).

Phil Fernandez took several trips to the U.S helping him create a very unique style. Icy guitar licks with a smooth, yet powerful voice. Phil learned how to play the Blues during a multitude of jam session with top Chicago players such as Luther Allison, Billy Branch, W C Clark…

By 2001, Phil got more serious and went to Austin several times to play with local artists such as Mike Cross, Tracy Conover, El Michael and the Texas legend Uncle John Turner (drummer for Johnny Winter, Mike Morgan, Lightnin' Hopkins...). Back in France, Phil toured his band throughout Europe, in France, Netherland, Belgium, Spain, touring the material that was to become their debut album.

March 2003 saw the band’s dream come true as Big Dez flew to Austin, Texas to record Sail on Blues. Only 3 days of hard work at The Congress House Studios were necessary to put the music on tape. 9 originals and 2 covers show perfectly the maturity of this "Franco/Amercian Blues band". Critics loved the album, and spurred on by the positive reviews and great live shows, Big Dez returned to Austin to record Night After Night with such high profile guests as Preston Hubbard (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Sax Gordon Beadle, Mike Cross, Tom Robinson & Gary Slechta.

Armed with this scintillating slice of Texan blues, the band are all set to make their UK debut. Don’t miss this blistering band!
