Following the success of our recent Classic Rock mini season, we are continuing the season of gigs through the summer with a classy tribute to Dire Straits.
Dire Traits are 5 top notch musicians who also happen to be serious Mark Knopfler fans.
The full blown set includes the full Knopfler repertoire from Calling Elvis, Walk of Life, The Bug, Tunnel of Love, Sultans of Swing, Brothers in Arms, Money For Nothing, Solid Rock, Telegraph Road, and Your Latest Trick and much more!
Coming together as Dire Traits, the band comprise guitarist Ray Watson (Red Hot Bayou Band) and drummer Richard Carr ( who played alongside Watson in fameous West Country Rock Heroes Corridor 38. The lineup is completed by rhythm guitarist and percussionist Rosemary Schonfield (who was a member of top touring band Ova), double and electric bass player Gavin Lee and keyboard player Andrew Downton.
Many of you have asked for a Dire Straits tribute, and here they are, playing one of rock's greatest contemporary back catalogues with style and passion.
