Queen of the slide guitar Erja Lyytinen was
the star of two Blues Caravan tours (one with Ian Parker &
Aynsley Lister) and one with Oli Brown and
Joanne Shaw Taylor that played in over 14 European countries.
Recently ranked among the top five guitar players in Finland, she’s a
blues artist who doesn't limit herself to the blues, being a songwriter, storyteller
& performer who transcend the genre's clichés. The blues, in Erja's
hands, sounds honest, fresh and hip.
Erja signed with Ruf Records in 2005, recording the acclaimed ‘Pilgrimage’
with Ian Parker and Aynsley Lister and she also recorded the Live DVD ‘Blues
Caravan 2006 The New Generation’ before her debut ‘Dreamland Blues’
CD.
