Julian Sas is one of the leading Blues Rock artists in the Netherlands, the
home country of Provogue Records. He's by many considered to be one of the best
live acts from the Netherlands and now wants to bring his music to the world.
"Resurrection" is the title of the new album which features 9 tracks
and 51 minutes of pure Blues-Rock. On "Resurrection" you'll only find
"Sas originals", because instead of going back to the immense blues
archives, Julian Sas prefers to write his own songs. You can hear different
influences, like Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher, Elmore James and Peter Green.
The Julian Sas Band has always received special praise of the music press for
their dynamic, electrifying performances. Julian says "Playing music
should not become a dull routine and therefore they leave plenty of room for
improvisation."
He lives in a place in between the rivers Maas and Waal in what might be called
the Blues Delta of The Netherlands. This is where he finds the inspiration for
many of his songs.
