modism... a way of life
Peacock Avenue are an original 3 piece mod influenced band, who formed in the summer of '03 due to the fact that they had no money but lots of talent!

The band's main inspiration came from the classic bands of the 60's and 70's, in particular the likes of The Who and The Small Faces. The Kinks, The Beatles, The Jam and The Rolling Stones have also influenced their musical style, along with 90's band's Ocean Colour Scene, Cast, Oasis, Dodgy and Paul Weller.
The band's style and sound is a melodical blend of all of these influences, topped off by a passionate and exciting live performance.

Together two years, the band have gone on to support the likes of cult mod band Secret Affair, former frontman of 90's band Dodgy; Nigel Clark, (who they also recorded their first Cd 'Hijack Sessions' with), had repeated supports with 'Casbah Club', which features Simon Townshend (The Who), Bruce Foxton (The Jam), and Bruce Watson and Mark Brzezicki from Big Country!
They played at the Pavillion Festival this summer with Scottish born rockers Biffy Clyro, and recently went down to London to assist in the recording of the Mod Aid 20 single, along with some big names such as Ronnie Wood, Steve Craddock, P.P.Arnold, Chris Farlowe, Mark Joseph, and many other mod stars, past and present.
