and Reg Edwards
A welcome return to the Crown for a duo who always go down well with blues fans.
Tim Royce made his name with the fine Close Enough To The Blues and the bigger outfit, The Deep End.
Reg adds telling doible bass and harmonies.
Tim has been described as the missing link between JJ Cale and John Hiatt. Not a bad recommendation in anyone's book!
Playing his preferred Gibson Flatop, Tim's music is a highly individual mix of Delta blues, Chicago RnB, country, jug and whatever else comes to hand and fits in. A very innovative, exciting and hugely original player, Tim lets each note find its own level with a crystal tone. Where others rely on speed and volume, Tim mimics JJ Cale in his laid back feel, but incisive guitar work, and cool vocals.
Ably supported by the double bass of Reg Edwards, this is smoking blues of the subtle variety.
