Uli Jon Roth


Uli Jon Roth is undoubtedly one of the world’s most outstanding guitarists.
He has been an inspiration to many of his fellow artists and has been cited by countless guitarists from all over the world as one of their main influences.

UJR was the lead guitarist and one of the main song writers for The Scorpions 1973-1978. He cut 5 albums with them, including several gold ones - 'Tokyo Tapes', which sold nearly 1 million copies.

Uli was officially inducted in the Walk of Fame by Europe's only Rock & Pop Museum, in Gronau, Germany. The ceremony took place in 2003 in London.

In 1978-1985 he formed his own band ELECTRIC SUN recording 3 albums :
1978 Earthquake; 1980 Fire Wind; 1984 Beyond The Astral Skies and toured Europe and the US.

Since then U.J.R. has written 4 symphonies, 2 concertos and numerous songs, he was MD for JIMI HENDRIX TV show German TV – Rockpalast, he also appeared in the 1998 G3 Concert Tour in Europe with Joe Satriani and Michael Schenker and also starred on the 2002 – Legends of Rock UK Tour

Uli is also well known for inventing his own unique instrument, the 6-octave Sky guitar and produces his own albums and directs his own videos.
