Del Bromham
of Stray interviewed by Pete Feenstra
recorded by Prakash Acharya back stage at Zoom @ The Moon SE24 on 14th July 2007

Del Bromham is a superb guitarist and fine songwriter and has been the driving force for Stray since the late sixties. On this particular occasion at Zoom @ The Moon SE24 / Half Moon, Herne Hill on Saturday the 14th of July, a raucous crowd was treated to a spellbinding set in front of the band’s original vocalist Steve Gadd.

Ironically enough, it wasn’t until Del started the band up again in the 90’s and signed with Mystic records that he finally fronted Stray as the guitar playing vocalist. He explains why on the clip, and also mentions the world tour with Iron Maiden on which Stray got a uniformly great reception wherever they went.

The connection between Stray and Maiden goes back a long way to Iron Maiden recording the Bromham penned “All In Your Mind”, which is brilliantly captured by Prakash’s unwavering camera on the clip below.
